Responsible Travel Policy

We believe that sustainable, sensitive tourism is an invaluable help to developing the communities and preserving the environments of sub-Saharan Africa. We aim to encourage more people to visit Africa by promoting supremely enjoyable and informative trips – whilst maximising the benefits these generate for the local economies, environments and host communities in Africa.

Economic Responsibility:

We always employ local guides to accompany groups visiting local communities during our entire trip that facilitate the guide who is looking for the group. Their local knowledge and expertise are invaluable and enhances our client’s experience. We want assurances that the proceeds from these projects are distributed correctly, improving facilities that the whole community will benefit from.
We also use local Hotels and some reception houses as in Dogon Country that shows that the money pay to these people stays with the local people and benefits to their economy.
We encourage our guests to use public services in our entire trip we book local boat in Mopti-Kona village or from Timbuktu to Mopti.
We encourage our guests to purchase locally manufactured products rather than imported alternatives, and buy gifts and crafts from local shops and markets.

Environmental responsibility:

Our company does not print brochures due to paper wastage. We actively encourage communication via email.  We refill ink cartridges and reuse paper whenever possible.
We actively support environmentally projects by helping an organisation for the protection of Bee (GIPA) in Ségou. We provide them vehicle during their trip to inform local people how they could get honey without killing bee because in our society they use fire to kill bees and get their honey.
As we know the danger that the nature faced to day we use a little
Domestic flight in our trip, Most of is done on ground.
During our trip we do lot of camping in village because they have not got big hotels to waste water and some of them use energy solar for their light.
We encourage our clients to minimize waste by advising clients to follow the African example and recycle everything. You will see how a system that provides no waste disposal produces very little waste.

Social responsibility:

Supporting community development projects we are in cooperation with a traditional mud clothes centre (Centre Zoroblé) in Ségou where the agency was located at first. This centre use many people and we bring our clients to this centre to permit them to learn the different designs to make a traditional mud clothes and some clients buy all this money contribute to the development of this local community.
We are involved in a community projects. In the Dogon country each village
Gets a tax for people passing through and an additional local guide is hired. All accommodation food and water costs go directly into the community. Well managed tourism in the Dogon country has helped to preserve this fascinating culture bringing in valuable income to a people living in fine balance in a difficult environment.
By supporting the Festival in the Desert and on the Niger River, you are helping to promote the quality and diversity of Malian music to an international audience.
In a future we want to initiate and develop new community projects, in areas where these could be beneficial to the local people.
